RHS Malvern Flower Show 2024

Overview

Michael Lote’s debut show garden championed environmental stewardship, using sustainable materials and eco-conscious construction. Central to the garden was a dramatic Corten Steel Helix sculptural pergola designed and supplied by Weather It.

What We Did

Collaborative Design & Custom Engineering:

Weather It collaborated closely with Michael Lote to develop the 360° Corten helix. Detailed CAD modelling ensured structural stability while preserving the organic spiral aesthetics.

Precision Fabrication

Crafted from durable Corten steel, the helix was meticulously rolled and welded, then treated to achieve the characteristic rusted patina. This process mirrored the earthy garden tones and required exacting craftsmanship.

High-Quality Finishing

The natural rust finish was carefully controlled to match planting hues and maintain structural integrity. Weather It’s expertise ensured uniform patina development and longevity across the sculpture.

Seamless Installation

The Corten Moongate was expertly installed on-site, ready for planting and visitor engagement.
