Superior Durability and Longevity
Unlike other types of steel or metals, Corten steel develops a protective rust layer or patina that protects the metal and prevents further corrosion, meaning it will withstand harsh weather conditions and last significantly longer.
Minimal Maintenance
Once the protective patina layer has developed on your Corten steel product, it needs virtually no maintenance! Other types of steel may need treating or repainting, but Corten steel continues to look stunning without effort!
Enhanced Aesthetic Appeal
Corten steel’s rich, earthy patina creates a unique, natural look that evolves beautifully over time. Blending seamlessly with any garden or setting, this visually striking element can’t be matched by other steels.

Our Square Corten Steel Logstores are manufactured in Britain at our facility in the West Midlands.
To enhance stability and create a secure backstop for the logs, we incorporate rear cross braces into the structure.
The logstore is designed with a 50mm golden lip at the front and a 15mm lip at the rear, providing enhanced security to keep logs of different sizes securely in place.
For added stability, the logstore comes with drainage holes in the base, so rainwater does not pool or rot the wood. The store has 4 of 15mm feet on the base.
What is the Corten Steel Logstore made of?
Crafted exclusively from 100% authentic and certified Corten Steel, this material is also commonly known as Weathering Steel or COR-TEN steel. The term "COR" signifies its exceptional corrosion resistance, while "TEN" represents its impressive tensile strength.
Our Corten Woodstore is meticulously constructed using structural grade, 2mm thick Corten Steel as our standard. When exposed to the elements, Corten Steel develops a distinctive and captivating patina. This patina serves as both a stunning aesthetic feature and a protective layer. As the steel oxidizes, the patina forms a barrier that slows down the oxidation process, thereby extending the lifespan of the material.
Over time, the patina evolves into a remarkable array of warm, autumnal shades ranging from orange to red and brown. The beauty of this material lies in the fact that the specific hues and colours of the patina are influenced by the local climate and weather conditions where the Woodstore is situated. As a result, you can be assured that your Woodstore will possess a truly unique appearance, tailored to your very own garden.
Corten steel is a premium metal used widely in landscaping and construction. Some of the most notable Corten Structures that use Corten are:
- The Angel of the North by Anthony Gormley
- John Deere World Headquarters by Eero Saarinen, Kevin Roche
- Leeds Broadcasting Tower by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios
We do offer this product in a more budget-friendly, Rustic Patina Steel material. We make all our rustic patina products in 2mm thick steel as standard. How long will it take for my Corten Steel Square Logstore to weather?
Our Corten Steel Logstores are typically offered in a raw steel finish as the standard option. This raw steel finish undergoes a fascinating transformation, developing an exquisite and distinctive orange and brown patina within a few days of exposure to the elements. Over a period of 6 to 9 months, the patina continues to evolve, showcasing its natural beauty.
The speed at which this weathering process occurs can vary based on several factors, including local weather conditions, climate, and proximity to the coast or sea spray. These elements contribute to the unique character of each Corten Steel Logstore, ensuring that your log storage solution will possess a one-of-a-kind appearance, shaped by its specific environment.
How do i maintain it?
No maintenance is required whatsoever! Unlike wooden or plastic alternatives, our product eliminates the need for any upkeep. Simply fill, plant, and delight in its beauty without worrying about maintenance tasks.
Other things to note
Please be aware that during the natural weathering process, there is a possibility of "run off" occurring, which may result in staining the surface underneath the Wood Store. This risk is higher in the initial 3 to 6 months of the weathering process.
To accommodate different preferences, our Log Store can be delivered at various stages of the weathering process, ranging from new steel to full patina. However, it's important to note that once production has commenced, we may not be able to accommodate specific requests or changes to the weathering stage.
We strive to provide the best possible product and service, but please understand that certain limitations may arise once production is underway.
