Modular Corten Planter Walling

Overview

We were asked by a customer to produce more than 100 metres of modular Corten steel planter walling, standing 650mm tall, to be installed along a curved and tapering landscape in Cambridgeshire. The complexity of the area meant a detailed site survey by the Weather It team was essential before we could proceed with manufacturing.

What We Did

Site visit and terrain survey

We carried out a thorough analysis of the site to ensure accurate measurements before fabrication began.

3D CAD design and modelling

A full 3D CAD plan was created around the tapering terrain, showing the customer how the finished modular walling would look in situ.

Precision laser cutting and folding

Each panel was laser cut and folded to tight tolerances, allowing the planter sections to connect neatly across the varying levels.

Coordinated delivery and installation

We worked closely with the installation team, supplying clear steps, part numbers and on-site guidance to ensure the process was smooth.

Project Details

Our modular Corten steel planter system has been carefully crafted to be flexible, with a variety of heights, shapes and finishes available. This makes it ideal for big projects, landscape refreshes and large areas, both private and public.

In this case, we worked closely with the customer to deliver a highly custom Corten planter system that wrapped around a building’s perimeter. The surrounding ground level posed a challenge due to its curves and height differences. To solve this, we carried out a detailed on-site assessment before using advanced CAD modelling to ensure the custom panels would fit perfectly and give the desired effect once installed. Each section was cut and fabricated to match the target site exactly.

We supported the fitters with documentation, part numbering and were present on-site to ensure installation was as simple as possible. The result was a clean, consistent finish that the customer was really happy with.
